Are you a bilingual or multilingual, talented multitasker who enjoys interacting with people?
We’re looking for a positive and professional office assistant to be the face of our office. You’ll welcome visitors, clients, and fellow employees, answer phone calls, and assist us with other operations as needed. The ideal candidate speaks Burmese and/or Hakha Chin, is a great communicator with a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Display an understanding of firm’s vision, mission, and core values in serving clients who are multilingual and multicultural.
  • Greet all incoming visitors in a professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information, take messages, or schedule appointments.
  • Accept clients’ monthly payments, fees and create receipts.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and handle deliveries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling information and documents.
  • Open to continuous training to advance professional skills and knowledge.
  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Other administrative and office duties as needed.
  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday from 09:00AM-5:00PM and one Saturday a month.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Burmese and/or Hakha Chin
  • Outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with clients
  • Focused and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding problem solver
  • Dedicated to learning and self-improvement
  • Works well in a team setting
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Eager to learn necessary software and online resources
  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals and interact cheerfully and professionally with all staff, clients, and community partners
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly, work independently, perform individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction or supervision
  • Must have the ability to think clearly in stressful situations, work well under pressure
  • Displays time management, organizational, and customer service skills
